ABOUT US

LARC is dedicated to providing quality educational programs and resources through a multi-service approach that allows children, parents, and educators

to strengthen family and community relationships.

Our Environment

Our environments foster active exploration, play, and inquiry. Our play-based philosophy builds on child initiated activities offering open ended materials, nature and items based on interest, ability, and curiosity of the child. Educators view themselves as play partners and co-learners as they interact with the children and their environments.

Our Children

We believe that every child has the right to a safe, nurturing and inclusive environment that meets their emotional, social, physical, cognitive, cultural and developmental needs. We view every child as being competent, capable, curious and rich in potential.

Our Educators

Educators represent our Registered Early Childhood Educators, School Age Staff, Parent Educators, Play Group Facilitators, Resource Consultants, Support Staff and Home Child Care Providers.

Educators facilitate children in their learning, through observation, reflections and empowering creative problem-solving and the ability to self-regulate in an inclusive environment. They promote the health, safety, nutrition, and well-being of every child.

Each program strives to create opportunities to engage in conversations with families, co-workers, and children to create a sense of belonging in their environments and communities.
